March 15th we hosted our 4th Annual Banquet at the Rusty Rail in Canastota.
April 26th and 27th - Youth Turkey Hunting days with Turkey Hunting the whole month of May.
May 17th - Third Annual Turkey Challenge Team Up Hunt with dinner at the Spinning Wheel.
June 21st - ASA's second Annual Fishing Derby on Oneida Lake. This year we teamed up with Arise and Fish. Dinner was at the Fisher Bay Restaurant.
August 10th we held our very first 18 hole sponsored Captain and Crew Golf Tournament, it was held at Green Lakes State Park with a BBQ to follow.
September 27&28 - We debuted our "Trailer Blind" at the Carpenters Brook Sportsmens Days.
October 7th - Drivers Village Sportsman's Dinner. We had our display and enjoyed the company of many clubs and other sportsmen.
Pheasant Hunting and Duck Hunting on the McNeely Preserve.
November and December were full of Whitetail Deer Hunting!

NWTF Wheelin Sportsmen Muzzleloader Deer Hunt - October 2008
We were invited to come enjoy lunch at the Albion Fish and Game Club and an evening of Muzzleloader Hunting at the Truss Nursery properties. Although no one was successful at harvesting a deer, this was a day of good camaraderie and great hunting. We hope that we can do this again.

NRA Foundation Grant 2008
The NRA Foundation provided funds for the materials to build and place permanent hunting/observation blinds. Pine Grove Junior High Technologies students prefabricated the first blind in their class in June 2008. Volunteers for Advanced Strategies Adventures installed the first blind in December 2008.
