Lloyd Weigel is the Founder of Advanced Strategies Adventures, Inc., and serves as President. He is also on the Board of Directors. Brought up hunting and trapping, Lloyd's love for the outdoors led him to extreme drop camp hunting where he and other trackers would set up camp eight miles in at the Moose River Recreation Area, Inlet, NY. Jim Massett, renowned whitetail buck tracker, was Lloyd's mentor and a big part of Lloyd's life. Lloyd is a NYS licensed hunting guide and has hunted in New York , as well as Canada and Colorado. "Nothing compares to tracking trophy whitetails" says Lloyd. He has given many seminars on the subject and harvested three bucks with bow and arrow that made the NYS Big Buck Club Record Book, two of which made Pope and Young Record Book. He possesses the great drive it takes to get our challenged members out hunting and fishing. Lloyd began in 2003, and has since touched many people's lives. He has made their dreams of continuing outdoor adventures a reality. He goes above and beyond to make every outing an experience never to be forgotten. With his desire to share his experience of the outdoors with everyone of all abilities, Lloyd has brought Advanced Strategies Adventures, Inc. to where it is today.
“Little John” John DiMura is a legend to the sport of Archery. John serves as our Vice President and is on the Board of Directors. John is in the Professional Archers Hall of Fame and is an inductee in the New York Hall of Fame. He helped establish and has the first handicapped archers permit with the permit #001.The law was passed in 1982 to allow a disabled archer to hunt with a bow pulled back in a locked position. He brings to the organization connections and ideas that only someone in John's place can. He is truly an inspiration to us and it is an honor for us to have him as part of our organization.
Mark A. Spratt is a Co-Founder of Advanced Strategies Adventures, Inc.
Jesica Gallagher is Treasurer and on the Board of Directors. She also coordinates the banquet committee. Always willing to lend a helping hand and coming up with great ideas, Jesica is an asset to our fund-raising and operations. Jessica is also the daughter of Lloyd Weigel.
Rick McNeely is Coordinator of our Pheasant Program. Rick has taken a great interest in Lloyd's vision for this program by building pheasant storage pens and raising hatchlings. Rick now has preserve status which opens up endless possibilities for our organization, both now and in the future. All of our organizational pheasant, turkey and deer hunts are held on the preserve. Rick is always there at a moments notice when something is needed by our organization. We thank Rick for his limitless generosity.
Lin Menninger is the Youth Coordinator and secretary for our organization. She recently retired from the East Syracuse -Minoa School District after 20 years of service as a Teaching Assistant in Special Education. It was at Pine Grove Middle School that she founded The Great Outdoors Club. Lin has been DEC certified as a search and rescue team member and held the position in the past as training coordinator for the team. She has been in emergency management for 10 years and has taught novice courses in forensic man tracking with Joel Hardin Professional Tracking Services. Lin recently began teaching hunter education courses. She has been featured in two Post Standard articles this winter, one of which she was chosen a Hero of Conservation. Recently, Lin was chosen Conservation Hero by Field and Stream Magazine and won a $1,000 grant from Toyota for The Great Outdoors Club. She was featured in their April issue. Lin was also awarded the 2008 Stanley Hamlin Conservation Hero Award, presented to her by the Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen. It was the first time in the awards eighty-four history that the award went to a woman.
Jimmy Crumb is involved with our media generation and video editing. While promoting advocacy for disabled sportsmen, he is essential in developing new ideas for accessibility of outdoor sports. Jimmy is an avid outdoors man which he displays in his variety of hunting versatility. Jim purchased a Lab pup last year that I'm sure we will see out in the field in the near future.
